What a day! The Kabwe Inter-School Sports took place today in Mine School and a twenty-eight strong Sables Nua team not only took part but cleaned up, carrying off five gold (boys’ long jump, girls’ long jump, boys’ 4 x 100m, girls 800m, boys’ 200m), four silver (boys’ 4 x 400m, girls’ 200m, girls 100m, girls; 4x100m) and a bronze (boys’ 4 x 400m) -figuratively speaking, there were no actual medals. Sables finished a very credible third in the overall points table and ten of our athletes have been selected to represent the zone at the next level. Well done to all the abulmendo and abakashana and natasha sana to Mr. Elasmus Hamayuwa Mr. Abel Singogo and Madam Edith N Mutenda for all the training and for giving up their Saturday to organise and cheer on our athletes.
